We have been very lazy for the last few days and not done anything really of any interest to comment on. Basically we get up about 9 and go for breakfast on the river

We then stroll down to the beach and spend the rest of the day swimming, sun tanning and reading. We usually have a snack for lunch in a cafe which again has seats in the river.

We come back to the hotel (which does have wifi hooray!) and relax for a while before going out for our evening meal. Last night we ate at the hotel (the food here is the best) as it was their bbq night which was alot of fun and delicious. Other nights we walk round the bay (about 2km each way) to try another restaurant and to catch up with the locals that we know from our previous trips here.

The main goal for this part of the tour was always going to be to relax and prepare ourselves for the India trip. We are both still slightly aprehensive about this part of the world tour. Although we will have a guide with us the trip from Dehli to Kathmandu will involve some local trains and buses as well as basic guest houses. We have just re read the info about it and it reiterates the need for only about 10kg of luggage each. Unfortuantely with both have about 27kg each (including hand luggage) - woops!!!. Still not much we can do. We have 6 days left on the beach better enjoy it whilst we can.

Hello Ruth and Chris - it looks lovely there. We have storm warnings for some parts of the country.
ReplyDeleteGlad you're enjoying it.

Hi Ruth and Chris, we managed to get back to the airport ok last night and evetually crawled into bed at 06:30 this morning, the weather was dull and 12 degrees. I said to manda that you pair would be just getting up to bright sunshine and about 30 degrees. It was great to meet you both and we will be following you around the globe. Manda and Neil
