Istanbul to Cavus

Last morning in Istanbul, we packed our bags and got ready for the off!!
Leaving the Historia Hotel Istanbul waiting for airport shuttle

Got to the airport in bags of time and decided to try out my birthday present from Chris. This was free entry into airport lounges via the priority pass system (he bought one for himself too or else he would have had to stand outside!). Well can thoroughly recommend wings lounge at Istanbul Ataturk Domestic airport. Free alchohol on tap (and I mean help yourself bottles) not to mention food, snacks, comfy seats and wifi. We took full advantage and did not complain when our flight was delayed by 50 mins. We were flying the equivalent of Turkish easyjet which was called Atlasair. I bought the seats online at a price of about £20 each. Once we got on the flight it was great there was a free snack which was (once we interpreted the Turkish) "cake or sandwich".

The flight only took 45 mins down to Antalya, on arrival there was a sign bearing our name and we were bundled into a taxi for the ride to one of our favourite places on earth - Cavus. We first came here in 1997 on a package holiday with First Choice. Since then the UK tour operators have all left. This is our 5th visit independently. Cavus was our first sun holiday together and somewhere we both loved and have continued to do so throughout the years. In fact we modelled our garden decking over the pond on the river restaurants here. Here is the night time view from our balcony

More day time shots and info about why we love this place so much to follow. For now - good night!!.
