Hi any blog followers thanks for reading!. Many apologies for the lapse in entries over the last 3 weeks. To be perfectly honest this is because we have not done anything at all really apart from lounge around the pool. I'll describe a typical day, up at 8 and off to breakfast. Here we have a beautiful view over the islands and the sea and we are served whatever we want to our table (the upgrade to the club lounge is definately worth it to avoid the scramble in the main buffet over breakfast). As Malaysia is a muslim country Chris has had to get over his disapointment over the lack of bacon. They do serve something they call "brisket" which we have identified as beef bacon but its not really quite the same.
We then saunter on down to the pool where we basically just relax all day, the pool is beautiful really deep with loads of ledges to cool down on half in and half out of the water. Chris has been working on a new piece of software during the last 3 weeks (this may finance another World Tour - fingers crossed!).
We usually stay around the pool until about 4pm when we go back to our room and shower in preperation for our included drinks and food in the club lounge in the evening. So basically thats been it for the past 3 weeks - lazy or what?

We did manage one trip out. We went to the sister hotel the Rasa Ria which has its orangutan sanctuary where they try and rehabilitate them ready for release into the wild. When we visited there were 3 young orangutan's there. It was really nice to see them in an open jungle environment. We went at feeding time and the rangers called them and them came bounding through the tree canopy above us. We had loads of time to take pics and admire them. There were also lots of grey monkeys around and they tried to steal the orangutans food.
The orangutan sanctuary was so hot and humid (and full of mosquito's and sandflies) that it sort of put us of going into the interior further (which was what any of the other trips were). Here when the sun is out it is definately the hotest place we have been so far on the tour (and possibly during our previous travels), the humidity is quite intense. OK just trying to justify our laziness I suppose!!
After the China adventure we certainly needed to regroup and just chill for a while and we have certainly been able to do this in Borneo. Anyway batteries are fully and totally recharged for the next challenge - Australia. We are really looking forward to the next week, a couple of days in Melbourne then of in a hire car along the Great Ocean Road.
We have a very long day tommorow to get there, changing planes at Singapore (a long wait there) then a night flight into Melbourne arriving Monday morning. Will definately write the blog when we have internet access as there will be alot to report and pics to post. Thanks for reading. R & C.
